Motorcycling Australia (MA) will hold a training camp based at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra from Monday 7th October to Friday 11th October 2013.
There will be a place for up to 10 elite female athletes who are achieving outstanding results at a State or National level in Motocross/Supercross and Off Road disciplines in motorcycle sport. The training camp will run over five days and will incorporate fitness testing, physical conditioning, cross training and AIS lectures on general sports science (i.e. Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Physiology, Strength and Conditioning etc).
There will be an on-bike training component at this particular camp; therefore there will be a requirement for riders to freight bikes to Canberra. If the camp is oversubscribed, MA will take recommendations from its Commissions, Coaching Committee and other relevant personnel. Participants will be notified of the outcome of their application via mail.
Riders wishing to apply for the 2013 AIS Women’s Development Training Camp may now do so by downloading the application form found here.
Any interested riders should complete and return the application form by COB Monday 15th July 2013.
