All roads led to Maroon Dam for 40 Classic, Twinshock and Air Cooled Monoshock riders as Trials Club Of Queensland was about to make Trials history.
“RobJoy” was the venue for what was to be the first AMA Classic, Twinshock and Air Cooled Monoshock Australian Championships. Unfortunately because of the Covid border restrictions the event was renamed the AMA Australian Border Seperated Classic.
The name change and the event not having official status didn’t detract from the event, with Trials Club Of Queensland promoting the event to an Australian Championship level.
The riders were treated to 8 fully observed sections both days, these sections were of perfect severity and were ridden 4 times each day.
Considering the lack of our southern trials neighbors, this event proves that we are definitely on the right track with running “Old Bike” events.
So now the practice is done, bring on the 2022 AMA Australian C.TS.ACM Championship when hopefully we will have riders from far and wide able to travel and compete.
Huge congrats to all involved, take a bow Trials Club Of Queensland, still promoting the great sport of Trials for 50 years+.
