2023 QLD TITLE RESULTS!

Over 100 riders competed at the two day state championship held at the magnificent Hinchcliffe Property, Ferny Glen. Congratulations and thank you to all riders for displaying a friendly and fair competitive attitude over the entire weekend.

A course of 12 well-prepared sections, over three loops of nearly 5klms, greeted riders both days. Section types varied from mossy rocks, large grippy boulders, grass and loose dirt, banking and 3rd gear blast climbs. Sections were challenging with very few easy cleans, and many opportunities to catch out the ‘unwary’. Conditions and terrain stayed similar all weekend with Day 1 being tight on time, which showed tight scores on the leader board. However it was Day 2 that separated the field.

Riders came from as far as Central Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia. Leading the way, and with a large following, were Kyle Middleton and Connor Hogan whose attendance were cheered on by riders and spectators alike. Their remarkable riding skills created a buzz amongst all of the competitors. In the end, it was Connor who prevailed and he now holds the T1 Qld Championship Title for 2023.

As the trial came to a finish, it was remarkable to see so many riders and spectators assisting with section pack-up, and then staying on for the presentation to support the place getters. A special mention is required for all observers, in particular those from other clubs, who generously gave of their time to assist.

LRMTC would also like to thank the property owners, sponsors, food and beverage vendors, observers, officials, tent staff, photographers, competitors and spectators for their support in making this such a memorable state event for Australia!
