The Australian Men’s Team has finished fourth in the International Trophy Group, narrowly missing out on a podium at the 2011 FIM Trials des Nations in Tolmezzo, Italy.
The team of Neil Price, Kyle Middleton, Tim Coleman and Boyd Willcocks put in a fantastic performance over the two days of competition to finish just outside the top three of the International Trophy group.
It was a similarly impressive performance from Kristie McKinnon, with Australia’s sole Women’s competitor managing to finish eighth overall, just one spot back from the team’s 2010 result.
In hot and sunny conditions the Australian Men overcame a slow start in the first section to finish in a tie for second in section two, ensuring they claimed fourth ahead of Belgium.
McKinnon was gallant in her eighth-placed performance, finishing ahead of the two-rider Swedish team and Finland.
