Gas Gas and The Hell Team riders took a clean sweep of Sunday's Australian X Trial Championship at HBF Stadium in Perth.
The final was a hard fought battle, but previous 2 times winner Kyle Middleton eventually added the third win, and bought home the tinware in an extremely entertaining event, that saw some outstanding riding right across the field.
Kyle kept his composure all day, and stayed away from those "fiasco's" that are so hard to claw back from. He rode a very controlled and precise line in every section, using his head as well as his massive trials skills to stay in front of some seriously impressive rides from his Gas Gas cohorts.
Kyle Middleton (Gas Gas) ended up on 19 points in the final, but was chased hard by Tasmanian Chris Bayles (Gas Gas), and young South Australian wunderkid Connor Hogan (Gas Gas) for second and third ( 24 and 29 points). The riding was of an extremely high standard, and I'm sure the level surprised quite a few people in the HBF crowd.
Rounding out the final, and only one point behind Connor was TRS mounted Colin Zarcznski. Colin has only just come back from a huge riding lay off, and major surgury on his ankle, so it was with some grit and determination that he found a spot in the finals, as he was up against a tight field. Even the four riders not in the final impressed everyone with some magic displays.
Congratulations must go to Moto Dynamics, Simon, Neil and Jess, and all the Australian X Trial crew who put on a great event. We have only just come back from the World X Trial round in Barcelona Spain, and our local Aussie event could stand proud with the best of them in Europe. Cant wait for the next one!
Anyway a big congratulations to The Hell Team representatives at X Trial, that was some amazing riding, and a fantastic result.
