Here is an opportunity to try a Factory EVO 300 or a 2013 EVO 4T at the Oakleigh Motorcycle Club on Sunday 26 May from around 10:00am. |
Beta Racing test day – Sunday May 26.
Come and try the new Beta Factory 300cc 2T or the EVO 300cc four stroke or the EVO two stroke range. The Beta EVO Factory models mean “replicas of the bikes used by Beta factory riders such as Jeroni Fajardo in national and international competition at the highest level.” Beta has designed these new engines for the new non-stop FIM rules. This means the bike has smooth progressive power delivery from idle, low stall speed and smooth responsive power delivery as the revs build.
Come and sample the new Factory bikes at Oakleigh MCC clubrooms Simpsons Lane Clayton from 10.00am. The new Factory 300cc 2T features a new engine, new rear shock and linkage, new front forks, new clutch and gear ratios, over 3kg lighter than standard bringing the overall dry weight to under 64kg. The list of changes from standard is enormous – titanium exhaust, ergal triple clamps, wave discs, clutch discs, larger diameter crankshaft, larger gudgeon pin, magnesium crankcases etc.
Riding the new Factory 300 you immediately notice how docile and tractable the bike is down low. Yet mid-range and top end are as strong as you would expect from a 300cc engine. The new suspension is the next thing you notice. The bike is very stable over obstacles with plush suspension when working hard and combined with the docile low down power delivery, very easy to find traction in difficult conditions.
