C.Q Trials Club and Tony Bax Hosted the C.Q Twinshock Channenge on the weekend at Lowmead between Bundaberg and Gladstone,
True to form the C.Q club Ran this event to encourage the travellars from north and south with a time line that perfectely suits those driving from a far, Kicking off on Saturday morning with dinner orders and meal times being taken by Kim Chivers, riders briefing at 11am and riding from shortley after and continuing til dark all competitors (serious and fun) were treated to 5 laps of 7 sections and for most punters was followed by a fantastic feed and some quiet beverages at the Lowmead Pub. Sunday Kicked of early with riders briefing at 8am allowing those who made the trip a head start with their travells home. 5 laps of 7 reversed and slightely tweaked sections with a finish time of 12.00pm and presentation 12.30pm, the sections were absolutely spot on for all classes having awards for classics and twinshocks riding the traditional lines, Twinshock Blue Line saw Jordan Gollagher take the win from David Lahey and then Tim Stone in Third. In Twinshock White Line It was Peter Gately who held off his opponents Cedric VanHeerden then Tharyn Thomas.Classics was Dan Gollagher taking the trophy home on his trusty tiger cub. The kids were all smiles and having a ball too, Blake Thomas showing some super style aboard his Oset electric and Olivia Hamilton putting in some fantastic rides on her Oset also. The Introduction of a Non Competitive yellow line meant the Traditional sections could remain in the old school flowing Style and the Big Guns can have a piss taking battle royal on some serious and some times hellarious sections Brendan Hornsby closely taking the honours over Mitch Green, even those who chose to be outcasts and ride modern bikes were catered for with great sections designed for taking points while still being massive fun ! , All riders seen with big smiles and plenty of banter (even the serrious ones if there was any??) Well Worth putting on you twin shock and classic calander for next year! Big Thank you must go Tony Bax and the C.Q club for hosting another fantastic event and to Pat VanHeerdan ,Kim Chivers and Linda Casey for their continuing efforts .Thanks
