What got you into motorsport?
My husband definitely got me into the sport, and our whole family rides Trials now!
What got you into volunteering?
I think I just thought that considering I attend the events I might as well work at them and support the discipline.
How long have you been a volunteer with MA?
I’ve been running an event at our house for the past 10 years, and I have been working as an Official for that same amount of time as well.
What’s your favourite thing about volunteering?
I just love being able to give back to the sport and ensure the sport continues running.
Most memorable moment whilst volunteering with MA?
Feeding nearly 200 people at the state Championships back in 2010 in our woolshed! It was simultaneously exhausting and super rewarding!
Best experience as a volunteer (best event etc.)?
The best thing has to be that riders have voted our event for the past four to five years as the best event in South Australia, so receiving that recognition from the Trials community is the best feeling!
Best advice you’ve been given?
Just be prepared to help out wherever and whenever you’re needed.
Favourite discipline?
Trials!
Favourite track?
I have to say that our home ground, Mungeree, is my favourite “track”.
Favourite rider?
My son, Connor Hogan!
What 2019 event are you most excited for?
We’re actually hosting the state Championships in August, so I am definitely looking forward to that the most in 2019!
