Beautiful autumn weather made for a comfortable day for the 84 riders to tackle what was a quite varied terrain course. Sections 1, 2 and 3 were set in a traditional 'scottish style' flowing creek. Section 4 and 5 featured dry rocks, 5 in particular had a very nasty undercut narrow step hit off a kicker 4 - 5 meters away. I could hear Boyds' Honda sing from the bottom of the valley! Sections 6 and 7 had tree roots and more creek, with 8 set on dry logs. Section 9 had some deep water just next to 10 with a twisting climb that required spot-on body positioning on the bike to make grip.
Many thanks to the scorers and the riders who stepped up to help out where required.
