Western Districts Trials Club with support from TrialTechMoto Proudly present the
TRIALTECHMOTO Club Gate Trial
To be held at Rockatoo at Esk on Sunday 28 August
A gate trial is a different style of trial where all grades can compete against each other in the same sections. The idea is to score points by riding through pairs of arrows that define a “gate”. The rider decides which line to follow to get the maximum score possible for his or her riding ability. Unlike a normal trial, the rider with the most points wins.
Sounds easy, right? The catch is that if you incur a penalty in the section (i.e. put a foot down, cross your line, cross a tape or arrow, etc) your score will be zero regardless of the score you have already accumulated, and you must vacate the section. The real trick is to have a good understanding of your own ability and know what you can safely and confidently clean in any given section. Every rider rides every section, and every rider can choose how much or how little they wish to take on in every section.
Caterers will be available for you to purchase your Sunday lunch.
TRIALTECHMOTO will be in attendance with new and used bikes, OKO carburettors, trials spares and accessories.
Entries are open now, and close midnight Saturday 27 August.
