Nine-year-old Holly Wilson and her six-year-old sister Astrid Wilson received the best presents they could have imagined for Christmas. Both girls were given Oset Electric
Trials bikes that Santa purchased from WA dealer Moto Dynamics. The two bike-loving girls will be part of the upcoming Oset demonstration at the X Trial Australia Championship event at HBF Stadium in February.
The X Trial Australian Championship is a spectacular show for the whole family to enjoy with incredible feats of gravity-defying trial riding and extreme displays of super-human capabilities that will have the audience on the edges of their seats. The event is on February 18th 2017, this is the show’s third year in Perth and the first time it’s being held at HBF Stadium - ready to accept a larger crowd than ever before in an undercover stadium that lends itself perfectly to this super-charged event.
Now, Holly and Astrid, who are students at Kapinara Primary School, are promoting the event in order to raise funds for their school’s P&C committee. For each adult ticket sold using the code word ‘kapinara’, $5 will be donated to the school and $3 for every child ticket sold.
Neil Price, WA State Champion and organiser of the event said that any charity or group can reap the benefits of setting up their own code word to help raise funds for their own special cause.
“Holly and Astrid have been vocal in promoting the event they love amongst their peers and assisting their school in raising funds that will be of benefit to their school mates and teachers,” Neil said.
“We love to see this kind of enthusiasm in our young riders. As members of both the AJS Motorcycle Club and Pathfinders Trials Motorcycle Club, they are the future of this sport.”
Holly’s promotional efforts have included creating her own poster to promote the event and she even gave a presentation to her class at school about X Trial. Both Holly and Astrid have handed out promotional stickers to classmates to encourage them to come along.
“Trials bike riding is a unique sport that is growing in popularity year by year,” added Neil. “The Championship is about more than just the sport – it’s a terrific, inexpensive and entertaining day out for the whole family with something for everyone, including a ‘Pit Party’ which will showcase Holly and Astrid on their new Oset bikes.”
