Gas Gas have just released details of the upcoming RAGA Replica models.
The 2012 model of Raga Gas Gas Pro comes with a host of new features and is available in three displacements: 250, 280 and 300 cc.
The main change is the introduction of the new 'Tech' front forks. Gas Gas is now working with five manufacturers of suspensions for their trial and enduro range, offering good options for their customers. The Raga replica includes Adam's choice of the new Tech forks for a superior smooth action, and incredible feel in the front end.

The Raga also has the multi-adjustable Reiger rear shock that can be adjusted in three ways. You can adjust the length of the spring (also different springs are available by weight) and both compression and extension are adjustable.
The Raga 280 and 300 come with a Keihin carburettor that smoothes the larger engines and also gives more power at high rpm.
There is also a slight change in the dimensions of the linkage rods, as currently used by factory riders (Raga, Lampkin, Brown and Gubian). This also improves protection against rock damage, with a slight change in the bottom of the chassis. The chassis has also been reinforced in the upper anchoring area of the rear shock.
The Raga 2012 returns to the traditional AJP brakes, which are back in production now under the new company Braktec. Formula brakes that are on 2012 models Pro and Pro Racing are fine, but some riders (including Adam) prefer the feel provided by the AJP.
Other changes are the usual model of Raga, such as magnesium crankcases and gold clutch cover.
The big news is that the engine has a new gear selector that can be changed without removing the casings, a great help if you suffer a fall that damaged the shaft - it can be changed quickly and easily and that also translates into much less expensive maintenance bills.
New chain is by Regina, and is much stronger. Also included are other quality components such as Fat bars Renthal, and footpegs by S3.
The filter housing and cover are now improved, sealing the filter better, and also incorporate a faster closing.
Although the usual Gas Gas models red predominates, in this limited edition black and white take a greater role in the Raga. The Raga 2012 retains the black chassis, but the white guards, chain tensioners in anodized red, the new design of the stickers and black rims give a very different aspect to the new Raga 2012.
