In a bit of synergy with our new sponsor, we are speaking with Gas Gas rider Maddie Hoover in this episode.
Maddie is the current number 1 rider in the USA as well as competing in TrialGP, and also European competitions. As you will hear, Maddie started riding when the friend who she used to hang out with in the paddock while her dad competed, started competing herself.
Leaving Maddie with no one to play with, she thought "this sucks" and starting riding herself.
We hear journey of Maddie's first TdN experiences, and how she went from being shy and nervous to living in Norway and coming out of her shell.
Fast forward to now, and Maddie came second in 2018 Womens Trial 2 class before going to the premier Trial GP Womens class in 2019.
As well as COVID disruptions, Maddie has suffered some significant injuries which we discuss, that further disrupted for 2020 campaign.
On the mend now, Maddie is looking forward to a continue transatlantic lifestyle where she will take on the US Nationals, the European Womens competition and the TrialGP Womens competitions.
