Well we are 80 episodes in and we are yet to have a robust discussion about the three-wheeled members of the trials family. Well that changes today. After a number of quests by listeners, we have curated a dedicated episode all about trials sidecars.
Now, to be fair, I am no authority on this topic so I used the first part of this discussion to educate myself (and hopefully some of the listeners as well) about all things sidecars.
We are speaking with three authorities on the topic from Australia:
The riding pair of Justin Gough & Maurice Blanchard who between them have won 15 Australia sidecar titles.
We are also joined by Sidecar pilot Mark Austin who competes regularly in the West Australian trials scene on his sidecar, and has even been over to the UK and ridden in events over there.
After we figure out the 'What", we then explore the "Why" and discuss the niche that is trials sidecars.
I really enjoyed this episode...it was a whole lot of fun, and even when we stopped recording I think we kept chatting for about another hour!
