Australian Gas Gas pilot Kyle Middleton was invited to ride the Japanese New Year Trial (The Rocky Trial) at Kameoka Trial Land, near Kyoto, Japan.
Kyle was invited to ride the popular Japanese New Year Trial (called the Rocky Trial), held at Kameoka Trial Land on the 3rd January . This dedicated Trials Park is close to the population centres of Osaka, Kobe, and Kyoto, and is well supported each year by Japans top trials riders.
No doubt we will get Kyle's usual full and informative report apon his return, but from the few TXT's we have received he has come a very close second place (only one point behind) Kenichi Kuroyama. Kenichi has been Japan's premier rider for many years and has placed top 5 in World Championship Rounds on many occassions.
Kyle was on a borrowed 2009 Gas Gas, and only had one days practice in the foreign conditions, so that really is a brilliant effort from Australia's number 1 Gas Gas rider.

Kyle said there was a lot of snow, and they were quite concerned as the puddles were freezing over and turning to ICE! A little different from his usual Newcastle digs! (check out the icy car park shot!)
Congratulations again from all of us and we look forward to Kyle's full report on his return to Australia. Well done!
