LRMTC's club championship continued last Sunday with a small but enthusiastic bunch of 30 plus riders tackling five laps of 10 sections at the Corcorans property. With some riders staying away from this event with our Qld titles coming up the following weekend and others wanting to get as much practice in as possible riders were treated to 50 sections incorporating mud, a, running creek, large rocks, a couple of climbs and some ultra technical turns. Section severity was ramped up a tad from previous rounds to give the riders some worthwhile practice for the following weekend and finishing scores reflected this.
Josh Lewis continued his excellent form in B grade loosing 35 ahead of Andrew and Stewart Platt on 92 and 114 respectively. Jordan Tricker made his official B grade debut with a solid ride to finish only 1 mark off third place.
Jim Reed 13, also continued his C grade club championship form with another win over James Turner, Brent Carlton and Scott Carpenter, 28, 38, 55 respectively.
Roger Galpin 28, switched classes from Classic to Twinshock on his square barrelled Tiger Cub to edge out fellow veteran George Lewis 35 and Adam King 120 both on TY's, while Bruce Curtis 29, brushed the cobwebs off his riding boots and came out to win Clubman grade. Paul Walsh 32, Evan Hunter 42, and Ian Pigott 44 took the next three places.
Other winners were, Joe Luft 65 Veterans, Isaac Luft 15 Junior, Stefan Carlton 38 Introductory and Braeden Curtis 114 Intro Mini.
