After a month of ongoing rain and the threat of remnants of a cyclone bringing more heavy rain to the area organisers were a tad concerned that Sundays 2nd round of the LRMTC Club Championship might be washed out. Amazingly the proprty had been rain free after the sections were laid out and proceedings got under way on time.
With 40 riders and 4 laps of 10 sections competitors quickly spread out around this great property to be treated to some steep banks, flowing creek rocks and a bit of mud , oh, and a few tight turns.
Tense competition gripped the B grade riders with Joshua Lewis making a comeback after an extended lay off and riding a vaguely familiar Sherco up against Aki Nagao and youngster Jordan Tricker with Joshua coming out on top by 7 points over Aki and Jordan taking third.
Keen competition greeted the C grade riders with everyone wanting to knock off rising star Jim Reed but after a flawless ride Jim beat Brent Carlton, James Turner and Andrew Platt into 2nd 3rd, and 4th places respectively.
Clubman, Twinshock, Classic and Junior all competed on the white lines with no rider in those grades loosing more than 60 marks and most loosing less than 20 so no complaints were forthcoming
Paul Walsh on 4 marks lost, making his first appearance for LRMTC this season, sneaked ahead of Robert Morgan, 6 and Steve Bryant, 8 for Clubman, George Lewis on a very tidy TY 175 beat Adam King in Twinshock, ageing veteran Roger Galpin was again the sole Classic but vainly pointed out that he could have won Twinshock or Clubman on the day !!!
Bradley Bryant rode extremely well in Junior to tie with an equally good ride from Sam Turner and Bradley taking the tie breaker with Isaac Luft 3rd and Whitney Luft 4th.
Finally Jack Turner pipped Braeden Curtis in Intro mini
to wind up a very enjoyable day
