LRMTC's Themed Team trial two day event at the new property at Biddaddaba was a great success last week with 80 riders through all grades enjoying a variety of rocks, sand, roots and steep climbs in superb Qld Autumn weather.
On the light hearted side our Themed Team trial event catered for riders dressing themselves and their bikes up to win highly sought after and valuable prizes plus the best team scoring points for their actual riding skills also won prizes. The event was also the 3rd and 4th round of the QMTS
The Weston's property also provided a great camping area which dozens of campers took advantage of and fortunately the inquisitive farm animals decided to sleep elsewhere for a couple of nights.
Hard working section setters had laid out 16 sections to provide variety over the two days and gave most riders a total of 90 sections to display their varying levels of skill.
Several rides of distinction should be mentioned as follows;
Boyd Willcocks 28, winning A grade from Ric Kent 112 and Lachlan Gibson 178
Josh Lewis 20, winning B grade from Aki Nagao 90 and Frank Van Heerden 133
In an extremely competitive C grade ride Jamie Isherwood 12 just pipped Tom Rafferty 15, Derek Richards 16 with Jordan Tricker and James Turner both on 17.
In a clubman entry of 20, Mark Green 5 and Bruce Jackson 8 stood out, obviously enjoying themselves in front of an experienced group of riders.
Paul Moore, Dan Gollagher, Joel Reed and Sam Turner came out winners in Veterans, Classic, Twinshock and Junior respectively.
Many, many thanks to all the hard working club members, and they know who they are, who made this an event to remember
