The Run starts from Nielsen’s Native Nursery, 49-51 Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road, Loganholme and finishes at a great restaurant for lunch at good family prices.
The nursery opens at 8:00am, so why don’t you arrive early and have a look around? The Lorikeet Coffee shop serves breakfast from 8:00 am, and I suggest you get there at 8:00 to allow time to order and eat! don’t forget to look at everything else, including the pots, the water features, the “creatures” and the artifacts and the Aquarium opens at 9:00 am.
9:00 for 9:20am/9:30 am departure (promised we’d be out about 9:30am, before the car park gets too busy!) We will be parking and leaving from down the far end near the exit end of their car park.
This will be a navigation run with many street names included to keep you on the right track! We don’t want to lose people before they get a chance to share in our break up lunch.
The drive is about 60 km long and will take from 2 to 2.5 hours to complete.
All you have to bring is $20 cash per car, (this off-sets against your lunch costs) and a clipboard and pen for the Navigation Run, and a hat and bottle of water for a short walk which also has questions to answer (amenities available at this part of the run) and when we are standing around at the end waiting for late-comers. You may have a Refidex with you too if you want.
It is extremely important that we have names and numbers before the day. We need to know how many sets of directions to print out, and have to tell the dining venues how many to expect.
