Well the MTCQ “TY Challenge” has now been “Run and Won” for 2011.
Big thanks to all the TY Combatants who got into the spirit of the event, some of whom seemed to have an extra edge to their riding after having been spotted having a sly read of the Mick Andrews “Tips for Riding Trials” poster in the display tent!
This year we had 11 TY’s entered for competition with those complemented by two lovely examples as part of the show and shine, brought along by Robert Eyres.
I’m not sure how many TY’s were actually intended to be entries for the “Rat Bike” award or whether that was just their natural state! But to be fair, we judged them all!
The venerable TY175 was the weapon of choice for the day, with the odd 250 twin shock and a lone 250 Mono thrown into the mix.
And the TY Challenge Champion for 2011 is:
Greg Harding
