It was fantastic to drive into the Benobble property near Canungra on the afternoon of Good Friday to see the carpark full of campers taking advantage of the opportunity to spend a four day long weekend with friends and family and of course their bikes!
Due to the Qld Championships being split into 2 separate events one for modern bikes and modern classes and the inclusion of the Qld classics,Twin shocks and air cooled mono championships we ran the Easter 2day this year and included the TY Challenge, We made the decision to run the trial with NO STOP rules which made it very very interesting and a great deal of fun for all riders. The Sections were quite open, Old School Style and with the creek completely cleared out after Cyclone Debbie's effects, All but two of the sections we set taking advantage of the running water and newly placed obstacles including the addition of a fresh log section that Debbie strategically placed right near the score and food tents for all to be entertained. A huge thankyou must go to our of all our Helpers,Observers and Officials, and all those who came to our working bee's and helped out setting the sections, changing the order,reversing and resetting some sections after day1 and also those who pulled the sections in and cleaned up after the event, It was great to be able to have the clean up done so quickly and presentation so early Sunday afternoon and finally a Huge thank you to the Daniels family for once again allowing us to use this Beautiful Property.
