Preparations are going well for the 2013 Tasmanian Title. The sections have been identified and will soon be set. The access track has been upgraded with some additional gravel added.
There is still time to book your travel to Tas and enjoy 2 days riding in a magnificent venue.
Details of the event are below.
A two day, once a year event, open to all riders where the winners in each grade will be Tasmanian Champions. How is that for incentive?
Entrants will need to make plans fairly soon & bookings as this is a long weekend in Tas & Vic and boats & planes will be busy.
There is plenty of reasonably priced accommodation in the Launceston area.
We will be holding the Tas Title at Mt Joy 25km south of Launceston. It is a long weekend for Tasmania & Victoria, and we are only a quick trip on the Spirit of Tasmania away.
Mainland riders can either come to the event and return for work on Tuesday or make a holiday of it and stay for a week before or after! The weather in March is usually very good in Tassie.
All grades Xpert, A, B, C+, C, Twinshock, Sidecar, Clubman will be included in the Trial. We are looking at some new sections at the trial site to challenge everyone. Although not too hard as this is early in the trials season.
We have our results computerised, so they are available soon after the end of each day. The combined results from both days will be used to determine the Tasmanian Title results.
Some very nice trophies made out of Tasmanian timbers are on offer again, the same as last year. They will look very classy on your shelf – should you be good enough to win one.
Whatever happens you will have a good weekend with the friendly locals.
So why not take the drive over to Tassie or Fly-Drive if you can get a mate to bring your bike for you. It would be a good weekend away for mainlanders.
On Saturday night there is the opportunity for some socialising as we will be booked into a local pub for tea.
