URGENT NOTICE FOR ALL AMA CLUB SPORT MEMBERS AND AMA SPORT AFFILIATES
AS FROM 12 MIDNIGHT ON THE 15TH OCTOBER 2022, ALL AMA SPORT INCLUDING COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES, NON-COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES AND ALL ACTIVITIES INVOLVING UNREGISTERED AUTOMOBILES AND MOTORCYCLES ARE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.
All AMA recreational activities involving registered motor vehicles and vessels (automobiles, motorcycles and personal watercraft), social activities, camping and campgrounds can continue as normal.
The temporary suspension of AMA Sport is due to the AMA’s change of insurer for all automobile and motorcycle sporting activities.
It is most unfortunate that policy end dates and policy start dates can not be synced, but the end result should provide a better product for all members and affiliates.
Sport membership and sport affiliation expiry dates will of course be amended for those impacted to reflect the 6 to 8 week delay in policy changeover.
The AMA deeply regrets the inconvenience that this change of insurer may cause to members and affiliates alike, but as the sport season is almost at an end, we anticipate the impact will only affect a small number of riders and clubs.
We will of course keep you updated immediately with any changes and your understanding whilst we change sport insurers is very much appreciated.
