With the Trialsport & Global Racing Oil 2019 SA Trial Championships now just under 3 weeks away, Team Hogan have already started working on the sections - and as is the Mungeree way, logs will be on the menu, along with creeks, hills and rocks – all the goodies needed for a brilliant event!
Saturday is looking to be a relatively short loop around the homestead, and including the creek (which may even be flowing) and around to the ‘Widow-maker’ part of Mungeree, while Sunday will head to the ‘Scrub’ paddock, which not only has awesome riding, but also has awesome views of the top of the gulf towards Port Augusta!
As always, Trials South Oz will offer a full range of classes, with all needing to reach required entry to be classified as official, with SA using a percentage of the National
To constitute a class, the minimum number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be four, except the following, Open Women, all Junior and Sidecar classes which shall be three.
CLASSES OF COMPETITION:
SENIOR SOLO; Trial 1, Trial 2, Trial 3, Trial 4, Trial 5, Veterans, Women, Novice (Non- Championship)
OLD BIKES; Historic Blue, Historic White,
JUNIORS; Junior A, Junior A Women, Junior B, Junior B Women, Mini Trial.SIDECARS; Sidecar A, B, Classic.
Open Women to nominate line riding (Trial 1 -5). Harder lines are scored first in a tiered system. Name plate colour to match line ridden.
Junior B is designed for entry level riders and is suitable for small wheel bikes.
Mini Trial is designed for entry level riders and is suitable for small wheel bikes with
automatic gearboxes and is non-competitive.
Historic Blue ride to Blue Splits, Historic White ride to white splits
B Grade Sidecar to ride Yellow/Black splits,
Classic Sidecars have run of section. A ‘Classic’ sidecar shall be defined as having
an air-cooled motor and drum brakes, with no sidecar wheel brake.
Novice is open to all Adult riders who wish to experience trials. Rider will have run
of section
All bikes will have name plates which MUST comply with the GCR‘s. The colour of NamePlates shall be as follows;
**Veterans will also ride with a blue nameplate!
